Bandit

Last Updated: October 22, 2026

This guide is actively being worked on! Builds shown have been updated and reviewed.

Stat Distribution

Bandit's main stat is LUK and secondary is DEX.

  • Armor requires 10 less DEX than the armor level.
  • A Dagger's secondary stat requirement can be either STR or DEX, and is 5 less than the dagger level.
  • Put just enough points into DEX to equip your gear. Everything else into LUK.
  • For bandits, plan out which daggers you'll use while leveling. Adjust STR / DEX accordingly.

Bandit Skills

Dagger Mastery

Passive

Passive that increases weapon mastery, critical rate, and grants a chance to ignore knockbacks.

Like all other weapon mastery skills, you want to max this out first. When maxed, it brings your mastery from 7% to 77%, which contributes directly to your average damage.

Weapon Mastery

Mastery = (0.1 + Dagger Mastery Level10) × 0.7

Nimble Recovery

Passive

Recovers HP% and MP% after evading. 30 sec cooldown.

Filler skill to dump points into at the end of 2nd job. The 30 second cooldown really limits the value this skill provides. You can put 1 point into it early to unlock the regen, but the value you get is so small that it doesn’t really matter. Distribute the final 20 skill points between this skill and Dagger Booster depending on personal preference.

Dagger Booster

Buff

Buff that increases weapon attack speed by 2.

Insane value at level 1 because you get the full attack speed and its duration is 100 sec. Increasing the skill level only increases the duration of the buff. Use the final 20 skill points between this and Nimble Recovery depending on personal preference.

Haste

Buff

Buff that increases movement speed and jump.

Incredibly important party buff that allows your party members to be more consistent when clearing larger areas in a map. Because of this, it directly impacts your party’s exp rate. Max this after Dagger Booster and Savage Blow.

SinDit: all Haste until you leave Stirges, then SP reset down to 1.

Steal

Active

Ranged AoE that hits 2 targets and grants an Attack Power buff for 60 sec. It can steal items that were “supposed” to drop on death, but it can’t generate extra loot.

The main purpose of this skill is the 35 Attack Power buff. Because you’re training on mobs that you barely 2 shot with Savage Blow at lv40+, you don’t really use it to deal damage. Otherwise, you’d have to cast it at least 3x to match 1 Savage Blow on a single target. There might be slight utility in using it to pull mobs due to the range.

Attack Power

Max Steal gives 35 Atk Power on success, which adds this much damage to every hit (before monster defense) for 30 sec:
Added Dmg = Skill Mult × Weapon Atk × 3550
Steal (180%) = 1.8 × 0.7 = 1.26 × Weapon Atk
Savage Blow (75%) = 0.75 × 0.7 = 0.525 × Weapon Atk per hit
= 3.15 × Weapon Atk for all 6 hits

Savage Blow

Active

Single target ability that hits up to 6 times.

One of the strongest single target abilities, which allows Bandits to train in maps earlier than anyone else. The only downside to this ability is that it takes a decent amount of SP before it’s even usable. Maxing this before Dagger Mastery is not viable due to Dagger Mastery having better scaling per point.

Stats Indepth

LUK Scaling

LUK’s impact to damage can be calculated as

MIN = Skill Mult × Weapon Atk × 80 + LUK × Weapon Mult × Mastery + DEX + STR100
MAX = Skill Mult × Weapon Atk × 100 + LUK × Weapon Mult + DEX + STR100

Mastery comes from Dagger Mastery (see the Weapon Mastery formula in the skills above). It’s 0.07 with no points in it.

LUK is affected by Weapon Multiplier and Weapon Mastery, so every point of mastery raises your damage floor and tightens your damage range. DEX and STR aren’t, and add the same to both ends of the range.

Weapon Multiplier

WeaponSwingStabAvg
Daggerx1.0 (60%)x2.0 (40%)x1.4

Accuracy

Accuracy decides whether your attacks hit. It's one stat used for both physical and magic attacks.

Accuracy from your stats can be calculated as

Common = DEX × 1.2 + Level × 2 + LUK × 0.6
Acc = Common4 + 15

Every stat here is your total, including equipment and buffs

Each attack compares your Accuracy against the monster's Avoid. Monsters that are a higher level than you need a lot more Accuracy to hit reliably, while being a higher level than the monster gives no extra bonus. Level is part of the formula too, so your Accuracy goes up a little every level even without adding stats.

Avoid

Avoid decides how often monster attacks miss you.

Avoid from your stats can be calculated as

Avoid = trunc(LUK3) + trunc(DEX6) + 5

Every stat here is your total, including equipment and buffs

LUK gives twice as much Avoid as DEX. Avoid doesn't help at all until it reaches a baseline for the monster attacking you. For example, Zombie Mushrooms require 52 Avoid before you have any chance of dodging them.

FAQ

Do male thieves have overalls?

Only Sauna Robe. Female thieves have access to level 35 overalls.

Where are the level 45+ dexterity daggers?

There is currently no confirmed drop or crafting route for dexterity daggers past level 40. STR bandit will be the go-to at launch for players over level 45.

When should I switch to Savage Blow?

Level 41 at the earliest.

If I go sindit, when does dagger become better?

At level 41 if you aren’t SP resetting. You can swap at 35 if you SP reset and go into Double Stab and Dagger Mastery.
